Developing Ba Den Mountain national tourist area into the center of the Southeast region

Ba Den Mountain is a famous scenic spot considered the symbol of Tay Ninh province. Looking down from Ba Den Mountain, you will see a vast plain covering the outskirts of Tay Ninh city. From afar, Ba Den Mountain sometimes appears clearly in the blue sky, sometimes hidden in the mist.

This place also attracts tourists by a complex of temples, pagodas, shrines, towers... all bearing the characteristics of Buddhist culture and folk beliefs spread from the foot of the mountain, the mountainside, to the top. Accordingly, the development of Ba Den Mountain National Tourist Area becomes an attractive and highly competitive tourist destination, on the basis of reasonably exploiting the strengths of cultural and spiritual tourism, combining investment in developing types of entertainment, exploration, sports and resort tourism, along with preserving and promoting the effectiveness of the system of relics, landscapes and environmental protection in the area. Ba Den Mountain National Tourist Area is in a space connecting with Tay Ninh city, Dau Tieng lake and other important tourism potentials of Tay Ninh province; at the same time closely linked with Ho Chi Minh City and the entire Southeast region. At the same time, it aims to contribute to overcoming the seasonality in local tourism activities; at the same time, linking tourism development with the task of protecting security and national defense. With effective investment in mobilizing all resources to invest in developing the Ba Den Mountain National Tourist Area, including investment support capital from the state budget, ODA capital, foreign direct investment (FDI), capital mobilized from contributions of organizations, enterprises, domestic economic sectors and other legally mobilized capital sources; in which, priority is given to attracting investment resources into functional sub-zones according to the planning; the capital mobilized from economic sectors is the main part. Based on the annual balance capacity, investment capital from the state budget partially supports investment in technical infrastructure of functional sub-zones, promotion and building of tourism brands, human resource development, conservation, restoration and promotion of the value of Ba Den Mountain relics and landscapes.

Together with the state budget support to strengthen training, fostering, and human resource development, especially focusing on the management team, high-level professional workers; at the same time, support training to convert from agricultural labor to tourism services and apply measures to attract high-level and professional human resources; implement hiring domestic and international experts for key positions. Especially promote the development of tourism markets and products, improve the quality and diversify spiritual tourism products, festivals: organize well the reception and flow of visitors; improve environmental sanitation conditions; provide full tourism information to visitors; strengthen and improve the efficiency of order, safety and souvenir sales; diversify other activities besides the main festival activities, including developing discovery tourism products: design discovery tourism routes to Ba Den Mountain combined with a program to learn about the botanical garden; Construct facilities serving tourist activities such as environmental interpretation and tourism information centers, trail systems, viewing towers, rest stops, toilets and install appropriate signboards; develop sports tourism products: construct facilities serving sports activities; organize sports events to attract market interest; develop resort and entertainment tourism products: construct a diverse system of accommodation facilities targeting different market segments; invest in the construction of entertainment areas with diverse characteristics and forms. For the domestic tourist market: Have a policy to stimulate demand in the low season to overcome the seasonality of Ba Den Mountain tourism; prioritize the development of the tourist market of youth, teenagers, students and pupils for the purpose of exploring, sports, ecological agricultural experiences, visiting nurseries and farms; Attracting tourist market segments associated with the purpose of meditation and Buddhism combined with pilgrimage; gradually developing tourist markets for entertainment, camping, and picnicking. Regarding the development of the international tourist market from Ho Chi Minh City through travel agencies, hotels... and the international tourist market traveling by road from Thailand and Cambodia through Tay Ninh's international border gates; developing tourist markets according to special topics. In particular, develop and organize the implementation of a plan to promote the Ba Den Mountain National Tourism Area in the general tourism promotion plan of Tay Ninh province and the Southeast region, strengthen the connection between tourism development investment and other sectors and fields to solve issues related to tourism development management such as: investment in product development, tourism promotion, environmental protection, tourism resource exploitation, land use management, infrastructure and promote the connection between Ba Den Mountain National Tourism Area and other key tourism development areas in Tay Ninh province; strengthen the connection with other national tourism areas of the Southeast region, the Mekong Delta region and the Central Highlands region as well as with important tourist areas and tourist destinations of the Southeast region to promote the advantages and characteristics of resources to create diverse and rich tourism products.
