On the afternoon of July 27, speaking with Thanh Nien reporter, a leader of Cam Quang commune People's Committee (Cam Xuyen district, Ha Tinh ) said that local people had just discovered the body of a male engineer under the N1 irrigation canal flowing through the area. The case is currently being investigated by the police.
Body of male engineer found in irrigation canal
According to the leader of Cam Quang commune, at around 7:00 a.m. the same day, some people passing through irrigation canal N1, the section flowing through village 5 (Cam Quang commune), discovered a body floating on the water surface.
Upon receiving the news, Cam Xuyen District Police coordinated with professional units of Ha Tinh Provincial Police to quickly arrive at the scene to conduct an investigation.
The victim was identified as Dang Huu T. (32 years old, residing in Hamlet 6, Cam Quang Commune). Mr. T. is currently an engineer working at Vung Ang Economic Zone.
Authorities are conducting an investigation to clarify the cause.
"At the time Mr. T. was found dead, the irrigation canal was dry, the water level was only about 1 meter deep. Until now, drowning incidents at this irrigation canal have occurred when the water level was high, but in the past few days the canal has been closed and water from Ke Go Lake has not been released, so it is very dry," said the leader of Cam Quang commune.
Currently, the Criminal Techniques Department of Ha Tinh Provincial Police in coordination with the Investigation Police Department of Cam Xuyen District Police are investigating and clarifying the cause of death of the above male engineer.
