Phan Hoang Thu impressed when she skillfully combined the ao dai with a delicate pearl necklace, with the highlight being the red scarf and fan printed with the red flag with yellow star.

That combination not only honors her elegant beauty, but also shows the spirit of responding to National Day September 2nd, blending into the proud atmosphere of the whole nation.

Sharing with Dan Tri reporter, the beauty said: “I was born and raised in Hanoi , so for me, every street corner and every tree row is associated with special memories. When the streets are bright with flags and flowers, I want to preserve my image in the ao dai - the national costume of Vietnamese women - in that context.

The photo series is both a way for me to express my love for the place where I was born and a way to help me join in the national pride on National Day."

Not only choosing Hanoi's flagpole as the highlight, the beauty also chose many street corners with colorful flags and flowers, Dong Xuan market, as the background for taking photos.

“In the bustling atmosphere of flags and flowers celebrating the 80th anniversary of National Day on September 2, I believe that many people will feel the same pride and gratitude as I do. That feeling creates an invisible connection between our young generation and our predecessors, helping me to appreciate the value of freedom and independence today,” said Phan Hoang Thu.

Miss Phan Hoang Thu also revealed that she was born into a family with a revolutionary tradition. Her maternal grandfather was a staunch soldier who was imprisoned for a long time in Con Dao prison. In December 1952, he and other prisoners bravely escaped and continued the fight for national independence and freedom, leaving a strong mark in history.

Today, Con Dao Museum still preserves his image and identity, a living testament to the indomitable spirit and desire for freedom of the Vietnamese people.

When mentioning him, Phan Hoang Thu's eyes lit up with pride: "Every time we come to Con Dao, we visit the relics and museums here. When I look back at the documentary photos of him and his comrades, I feel that I need to live more responsibly, not only for my family but also for the community and the country.

I always keep in mind: My grandfather and many soldiers of the previous generation sacrificed their youth for the country, so today's generation of children and grandchildren must know how to preserve and continue those values.
