On July 24, under the direction of the Ministry of National Defense, the Air Defense - Air Force mobilized Mi 171 helicopters to take off from Hoa Lac airport (Hanoi) to move to Vinh airport (Nghe An) to carry out relief missions.

After landing at Vinh Airport (Nghe An), the crew will continue to receive a large amount of food and supplies prepared by Military Region 4. Currently, the Air Defense - Air Force has made 2 flights carrying 4 tons of goods to support people in Tuong Duong and Muong Te (Nghe An) - places that are completely isolated due to floodwaters after storm No. 3.

According to Colonel Pham Van Dung (Director of the Northern Helicopter Company, Corps 18, Ministry of National Defense ), on the same morning, the unit received orders from the Ministry of National Defense to mobilize helicopters from Gia Lam airport to Vinh airport to transport relief goods to the flooded area of Nghe An.

Immediately after that, the unit used a level 2 flight crew to prepare for search and rescue missions. After 45 minutes of preparation, the plane took off and arrived at Vinh airport.

Colonel Pham Van Dung informed that under the direction of the Commander of Military Region 4, the flying unit continues to receive the task of transporting relief goods including necessities, food, and drinking water to help the people. The first destination is Tuong Duong commune. Currently, the plane has landed to drop the goods and will soon carry out the next flights.
