Farmers in Da Huoai district begin harvesting durian crop in 2025

According to the People's Committee of Da Huoai district, the district currently has more than 10,700 hectares of durian and has become the "capital" of durian in the province; of which, more than 7,500 hectares have been harvested, bringing high income to farmers and making an important contribution to the strong development of the locality in recent years. Monthong durian (commonly known as Thai durian by farmers) and Ri6 are the two main varieties, prioritized by farmers in the district for planting thanks to their high yield, yellow flesh, small seeds and rich flavor.

Currently, durian gardens in the district have begun the 2025 harvest season with the garden selling price at a fairly high level, from 60,000 - 68,000 VND/kg for Thai durian and from 35,000 - 40,000 VND/kg for Ri6 durian. Although the price has decreased slightly compared to the 2024 harvest, at this price, durian growers still have high profits.
