DNVN - Over the past week, many people have reported that 5G waves on phones have appeared in some areas in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Hai Phong, Thai Binh, Nam Dinh ... However, 5G waves are often lost and only return after users register to try a 5G package.

Users need to consider carefully before switching to 5G, especially determining the coverage area. In addition to registering for a package, users' devices also need to support the new generation network technology. High-end phone models such as iPhone 12, Galaxy S20 Ultra, Galaxy Z Fold2 and later lines all have integrated 5G. In addition, many mid-range and low-cost Android models launched in the past 2-3 years also have this connection.
Currently, Vinaphone is the first network operator to announce a free 5G trial program from October 13 to November 15, 2024. Vinaphone representatives said that in many provinces and cities across the country, VinaPhone 5G waves have been deployed.
In March 2024, Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group ( VNPT ) won the auction for the C2 band (3700MHz - 3800MHz) for 5G. Winning this auction helps VNPT have more network equipment options, optimize deployment costs, and is consistent with the strategy of bringing the highest speed 5G network in Vietnam. VNPT's goal is to provide customers with a 5G experience with super fast speed and diverse applications.
After receiving the license, VNPT quickly installed infrastructure and VinaPhone 5G base stations nationwide. To date, many provinces and cities have had VinaPhone 5G signals.
According to the plan, VNPT will complete the installation of more than 3,000 VinaPhone 5G transmission stations by the end of 2024. This is to ensure strong, stable and continuous 5G coverage, especially in urban areas and major economic centers.
From October 13, 2024 to November 15, 2024, VinaPhone customers using 5G-enabled devices will be able to participate in a free 5G trial program with 50GB of data for 30 days. When traveling to areas with 5G coverage, VinaPhone subscribers will receive a text message inviting them to experience this service.
