Bustling trillion-dollar construction site is changing the face of the largest airport in North Central Vietnam, promising to welcome wide-body Boeing 787 aircraft later this year

After Vinh airport officially suspended operations from July 1, vehicles, machinery, and human resources were mobilized to the maximum to upgrade the airport infrastructure synchronously, striving to welcome passengers back by the end of 2025.

The existing runway, 2,400m long and 45m wide, will be repaired, along with two taxiways, brake strips, safety strips and a lighting system, meeting the standards for receiving wide-body aircraft such as the Airbus A330, Boeing 787, etc. The total investment for this project is more than 623 billion VND.
