Many young talents impress at Dan Tri pickleball tournament

The pickleball tournament "Dan Tri 20 years - Bright new days" took place on July 5 and 6 in Hanoi , gathering 574 athletes participating in 505 matches. The organizers said that all fees collected from athletes (at 500,000 VND/person) will not be used to cover the organization costs but will be used to support the construction of 5 Charity houses, helping 5 households with especially difficult circumstances in Cao Bang.
The most impressive pair was 2K Nguyen Minh Ngoc (born 2008) and Tran Tue Ngoc (born 2007) from Bac Ninh when both boldly registered to participate in the Open women's doubles - the event with the highest score in the "Dan Tri 20 years - New brilliant day" pickleball tournament.
This is a content that has the appearance of many famous female tennis players, typically Hang Adam, Binh Zafa, Phuong Anh, Huyen Trang and Si Boi Ngoc.

However, Ngoc "tho" and Ngoc "be" (nicknames of Minh Ngoc and Tue Ngoc) showed that they participated in this event not only to compete and learn but also to compete fairly for titles with their seniors.
The 2K couple received a lot of cheers from the audience after their dedicated and eye-catching performances, especially when they came from behind to defeat the couple Hang Adam and Binh Zafa in the quarter-finals, even though this couple had won many large and small pickleball tournaments nationwide.
In their first time participating in a professional tournament organized by Dan Tri newspaper, the two young talents made it to the finals and only lost to the very strong pair Si Boi Ngoc and Tran Huyen Trang, accepting the runner-up position.
Although not standing on the highest podium, Nguyen Minh Ngoc and Tran Tue Ngoc promise to shine in the future when both are only 17 and 18 years old.
The 5.0 women's doubles event saw many young athletes register to participate, despite the fact that this event requires relatively high scores. Notably, the pair Pham Ngoc Ha Vy (born in 2012) and Phuong Trang Anh (born in 2009) - the two athletes considered the youngest in the Dan Tri pickleball tournament.
Both female athletes played confidently in front of their seniors, even their uncles and aunts, and achieved encouraging victories. Although they did not advance far in the tournament, both showed their confidence and determination to strive to develop their abilities in the future.
Notably, Trang Phuong Anh is the daughter of athlete Tran Huyen Trang - who, along with teammate Si Boi Ngoc, won the women's doubles Open at the Dan Tri pickleball tournament.
"Trang Phuong Anh has only been playing pickleball for over a year. I let her participate in the Dan Tri newspaper pickleball tournament so she can interact, compete and learn more. Professional tournaments like this are very useful for children to practice and improve their skills so they can go further in the future," athlete Tran Huyen Trang expressed.

Also in the 5.0 women's doubles event, there were two 2K players, Nguyen Tran An Nhi and Tran Huy Bao Chau (both born in 2011), with their strong, confident attacking style of youth. Both had impressive victories over experienced seniors, such as the big 11-0 victory over the pair Huyen Nemo and Hoai Pika.
Even the 5.0 champion pair Phan Nhung - Bach Hop admitted that the most difficult match for both of them was the clash with An Nhi and Bao Chau in round 4 when both showed their youthful strength in their attacks at the back of the court as well as at the net.
"No match is easy, especially when facing two girls who are only 14 years old. That was the most difficult match for us as both young athletes played very confidently. Luckily, with our courage and experience, we were able to win against this pair," athlete Phan Nhung said about the 2K pair.
The pickleball tournament "Dan Tri 20 years - Bright new days" has ended but still left an indelible mark on the participating athletes, especially the young athletes. The tournament brought the athletes interesting experiences, to continue to conquer higher goals in the future.
