According to Tuoi Tre Online, after the military parade on August 30, many coffee shops in Hanoi continued to open their doors all night on the evening of September 1, before the National Day holiday.
Coffee shop "awake" with Hanoi atmosphere
Located on Son Tay street near Tran Phu street, where the Army, Militia, and Police (route 1) march past, Tram coffee shop is always crowded these days.
Although the parade does not pass right in front of the door, this coffee shop is still chosen by many people as a place to rest and "recharge" their batteries because it is conveniently located on the way to the parade viewing location.
Mr. Nguyen Minh Duc - owner of Tram Ca Phe, decided to increase staff and operate the shop all night to serve customers watching the parade.
“From midnight, I will inform customers that I will charge an additional fee of VND30,000 on a water bill. I will contribute this money to a charity fund for children in the highlands, because every year our shop still has trips to the highlands to make milk tea and give scholarships to disadvantaged students there,” said Mr. Duc.

"Many tourists ask me about events in my country and are amazed by the patriotism and national pride of the Vietnamese people. From there, I and the shop team have the opportunity to introduce the glorious history of our country to friends around the world .
Upon hearing those stories, many tourists decided to stay up all night with the Vietnamese people to wait and watch the parade," Mr. Duc excitedly shared.
Also open all night, Laika Cafe located on the West Lake side has been crowded since evening with people waiting in front of the door and inside the shop. Previously, on August 30, this coffee shop was also a popular attraction for customers waiting all night here.

Free drinking water for soldiers and volunteers serving event A80
According to Tuoi Tre Online , many coffee shops not only did not increase their prices but also offered drinks to soldiers and volunteers serving the ceremony.
From the evening of August 30, Lac Cafe on Hoang Hoa Tham street posted an announcement on its fanpage:
"It's raining and cold outside. If you haven't found a place to sit yet, have small children and can't find a motel or hotel in the area; or if the soldiers are on duty day and night and need water and a place to go to the bathroom, please come to Lac!"

Mr. Le Duc Anh, owner of Lac Cafe, said that when he saw some shops or parking lots around the shop charging high fees to people, he was very sad.
Wishing to spread the spirit of patriotism and mutual love, he requested that all employees at the restaurant not collect any additional fees for parking or seating from customers.
In the same spirit, Home Cafe, located right behind Quan Ngua Stadium, offers free drinks to soldiers and volunteers and half price discounts to the elderly.
Ms. Vu Thi Thuy Duong, the owner of the restaurant, said that her family has many generations serving in the military. The most valuable keepsakes in the family are the medals and awards of her grandparents. Ms. Duong understands the contributions and sacrifices of the military.
Looking at the sweaty backs of soldiers entering the shop to buy water and food, Ms. Duong asked the staff not to collect money.
On the night of August 30, many people sat on the sidewalk in front of the restaurant waiting to watch the parade. Ms. Duong opened the door to welcome everyone in. All 13 employees of the restaurant worked all night.

"I just think simply: look at the red flag with yellow star and ask why I am standing here? Living in peace , in the development of the country, I also hope that young people and especially my children understand the value of peace, be grateful and appreciate what our grandparents, grandfathers, and parents sacrificed and contributed to have" - Ms. Duong was moved.
Her family and the staff at the restaurant hope that more people will spread the good deeds, even small contributions but to some extent encourage the hard work of the armed forces. She also hopes that more young people will spread the good deeds of the people of Hanoi.
