The main violations include: not obeying traffic lights, going the wrong way and turning left where there is a no-entry sign. Notably, there were up to 165 cases (more than 50%) of illegal left turns, most of which were vehicles with license plates from other provinces and cities.
Actual observations at the Nguyen Van Cu – Ba Trieu intersection (Xuan Huong Ward – Da Lat), where many violations occur, show that the no left turn sign is blocked by vehicles parked on the side of the road, especially during rush hour. In addition, the location of the sign is far from the turn point, making it difficult for drivers to recognize and comply.

At the Hoang Van Thu – Tran Phu intersection (Xuan Huong Ward – Da Lat), which used to allow two-way traffic, there are now “no entry” signs and traffic lights. However, due to changes in traffic flow and lack of clear instructions, many vehicles – especially those from other provinces – still make mistakes and violate the rules.
Previously, many readers had reported the inadequate status of signs at the above intersections to SGGP Newspaper. Although the authorities have conducted field surveys, there have been no effective solutions to date.
