According to the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Quang Ngai province, after nearly 5 years of implementing the Organic Agriculture Development Project for the period 2021-2025, with a vision to 2030, the western region of Quang Ngai province (formerly Kon Tum province) has formed many organic production areas with increasingly expanding areas and increasingly diverse crop varieties. Notable areas include rice production areas in Dak Ha, Sa Thay; vegetable areas in Kon Plong; fruit tree areas in Kon Plong, Dak Ha; coffee areas in Kon Plong, Dak Ha, Dak Glei, etc.

To promote the development of organic agriculture , recently, the People's Committee of Quang Ngai province has requested localities to strengthen propaganda and mobilize people to apply organic farming methods. In addition, priority is given to allocating funds to build organic agricultural models suitable to the potential of each locality. On the other hand, coordinate with the Department of Agriculture and Environment to organize training and foster professional knowledge on organic agricultural production for officials, farmers and related organizations.
