Quang Ngai leads the country in GRDP in the first 6 months of the year

In the first 6 months of 2025, Quang Ngai province has resolutely and effectively implemented tasks and solutions under the direction of the Government, the Prime Minister and central ministries and branches, to contribute to ensuring the country's growth target of 8% or more. Quang Ngai province led the country in the list of GRDP growth in the first 6 months of this year with an impressive increase of 11.51%. In the old Quang Ngai province alone, the GRDP growth rate is estimated at 12.4%, ranking second in the country among the 63 old provinces and cities.

According to the report of the local Statistics Office, Quang Ngai's 6-month GRDP increased the highest in the past 5 years, with the main driving force coming from the industrial - construction sector, increasing by more than 21%. The service and agricultural sectors also recorded positive growth, reaching 8.58% and 2.96%, respectively. The economic picture in the first 6 months of 2025 shows that many localities have made strong breakthroughs, contributing to the highest GDP growth rate of the country in nearly 20 years. In particular, the 5 localities with the highest GRDP growth all recorded an increase of 10% or more - especially with the presence of emerging industrial and service centers.
