Ms. H'Nhin shared her feelings after taking the exam. |
From the gate of Nguyen Du Secondary School (Pleiku City, Gia Lai), Ms. Ksor H'Nhin (born in 1982, Jrai ethnic group, residing in Dat Bang Commune, Krong Pa District) walked out in a rather moody mood. She shared that she studied at the Center for VocationalEducation - Continuing Education of Krong Pa District. Therefore, she did not do well on the knowledge in the exam subjects on the first day.
After more than 20 years of working as a preschool teacher, in 2024 she failed the high school graduation exam, this time she is determined to pass. However, she shared that she studied quite a lot but the curriculum is very different so taking the exam encountered many difficulties.
“In the past, I studied in the 9+3 system. After that, I registered for intermediate and college courses via distance learning. However, in order to standardize the degrees, for many years now, I and some teachers in the school have registered for supplementary classes. Last year, I and a few others took the high school graduation exam but failed,” said Ms. H’Nhin.
For the 2025 high school graduation exam, Ms. H'Nhin registered to take 3 subjects (Literature, History and Geography) at Nguyen Du Secondary School, Pleiku City. Because the exam site is 150km from home, she and many other teachers went to Pleiku to rent a room early to have time to review and prepare best for the exams.

Ms. Koă (right) was feeling anxious after leaving the exam room. |
As a friend of Ms. H'Nhin, Ms. Kpa Koă (born in 1986) is also a preschool teacher in Dat Bang commune, Krong Pa district. This is the first time Ms. Koă has taken the high school graduation exam, so she feels quite pressured. She is determined to study again to improve her recruitment requirements if she has the opportunity in the future. "Because I am old and have to take 4 subjects at the same time, studying is very stressful. I often take advantage of the evening to review. Of the four subjects: Math, Literature, History, and Geography, Math is the subject that makes me struggle the most because there are too many formulas and numbers, which are very difficult to absorb," Ms. Koă confided.
To prepare for the exam, she took a week off to focus on reviewing and consolidating her knowledge. She confided that she had many difficulties in the two subjects of today's exam because the curriculum was much different from the past. She had to ensure teaching in class and taking advantage of studying on the weekends, so she did not have time to review.
