Tomorrow (June 10), a workshop will take place to find development plans for the new Lam Dong province.

The workshop was jointly organized by the Provincial Party Committees of Lam Dong, Binh Thuan and Dak Nong provinces.

The workshop was attended by leading scientists and experts in the fields of economics , science, strategy, and representatives of many large enterprises and investors interested in the new Lam Dong province.

At the workshop, many important presentations were presented on pillars such as: promoting green economy, developing cultural industry, applying high technology in agriculture, circular industry, developing infrastructure and inter-regional connectivity...

The workshop opened up many breakthrough ideas to help the new Lam Dong province promote its comprehensive strengths, aiming to become a major socio-economic development center of the country in the coming years.

Da Lat City was chosen as the administrative and political center of the new Lam Dong province after merging with Binh Thuan and Dak Nong.

This is an important event in the context of implementing Decision No. 759/QD-TTg dated April 14, 2025 of the Prime Minister, approving the Project on rearranging and reorganizing administrative units at all levels, including the merger of Dak Nong, Binh Thuan and Lam Dong provinces into the new Lam Dong province. The administrative and political center of the province is located in Da Lat city.

Bauxite is being exploited and processed in Lam Dong and Dak Nong, bringing great economic and social values.

The new Lam Dong province has a natural area of 24,233.1 km²; a population of more than 3.32 million people, becoming the locality with the largest natural area in the country, and the 8th largest economic scale nationwide.

With a special position converging mountains, seas, and many development potentials, determining the right direction and development solutions is an urgent requirement.
