The oldest was 62 years old and the youngest was 20, the Ukrainian Headquarters for the Coordination of the Treatment of Prisoners of War (KSHPPV) said. “All the rescued soldiers were privates and sergeants. Eighty-four of the rescued soldiers defended Mariupol, the rest were on combat duty in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions,” the KSHPPV said.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said on Telegram that the released prisoners had returned to Ukraine. “They are all ours, they have all returned to their homeland,” he said. “We… will not stop until we bring them all back!”
