Vietnam National Tourism Administration visits families of victims of the tourist boat capsize in Ha Long

Following the direction of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, on the morning of July 20, a delegation from the Vietnam National Tourism Administration led by Deputy Director Ha Van Sieu went to Ha Long to visit, share and encourage injured tourists and relatives of tourists who died in the serious accident of the tourist boat Vinh Xanh 58 capsized due to the impact of a sudden storm while visiting Ha Long Bay on the afternoon of July 19.

Here, Deputy Director Ha Van Sieu sent his condolences and encouragement to the victims and their families, hoping that everyone will soon recover, stabilize, and overcome this great loss.

Working with the leaders of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Ninh province and representatives of the Quang Ninh Young Entrepreneurs Association, Deputy Director Ha Van Sieu affirmed that the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism highly appreciated and commended the timely intervention of the departments and agencies of Quang Ninh province in rescuing, providing relief, and creating maximum conditions for the families of tourists who were unfortunately in trouble.

At the same time, the Deputy Director expressed his appreciation for the spirit of mutual support of tourism businesses and hotels in the area who promptly provided accommodation for the families of the victims. This is a noble gesture of those working in the tourism industry who promptly supported each other in difficult times, when sudden and severe natural disasters occurred.

Deputy Director Ha Van Sieu requested the tourism industry of Quang Ninh province and localities to focus on strictly implementing the instructions in Official Dispatch No. 3550/CD-BVHTTDL dated July 19, 2025 of the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism on focusing on responding to storm No. 3 Wipha in the East Sea, which is moving towards the northern sea of our country.
