Newcastle United have yet to reach an agreement to extend Isak's contract.

According to Express , Isak has a minor thigh injury and will not be included in Newcastle's squad for their tour of Asia this month. However, the Magpies' decision to leave him out of the squad for the upcoming long tour is still controversial, especially in the context of Arsenal and Liverpool having long expressed interest in the 25-year-old player.

Isak’s absence from friendlies against Arsenal in Singapore, the K-League All-Stars and Tottenham Hotspur in South Korea will continue to fuel speculation about his future, with the Swede even reportedly giving the green light to a move to Al-Hilal in addition to Arsenal and Liverpool.

Isak has yet to sign a new contract with the Magpies, with the 25-year-old reportedly on £130,000 a week at Newcastle. The 25-year-old striker is reportedly frustrated that the club have not delivered on their promise to offer him a new contract with a higher salary.

If he moves to Al-Hilal, Isak could earn three or even four times his £130,000-a-week salary at Newcastle. If he chooses to join Liverpool or Arsenal, Isak could also significantly increase his income.
