TPO - The Southern Hydrometeorological Station forecasts that in April, the heat will be stronger than last month, with some days of intense heat with the highest temperature ranging from 37 - 38 degrees Celsius, and in some places above 38 degrees Celsius.

According to the forecast from the Southern Hydrometeorological Station, in the first week of April, the low pressure trough with an axis of 25 - 28 degrees North latitude connecting with the hot low pressure area in the West, centered in the North, will be active. From April 4 to April 5, the low pressure trough along with the hot low pressure in the West will be gradually pushed south by a part of the continental high pressure area strengthening in the North.

It is forecasted that at this time, Ho Chi Minh City and the southern provinces and cities will be mainly affected by the hot low pressure in the West and the subtropical high pressure in the upper layers. The subtropical high pressure has an axis passing through the South Central region, from April 5th it will lift its axis to the North, passing through the central Central region.

Therefore, in the first week of April, the Southern region has no rain and widespread heat. The highest temperature is from 37 - 38 degrees Celsius, some places are over 38 degrees Celsius.

In the middle week of April, the area is mainly affected by the edge of the hot low pressure in the West with the center in the North, along with the influence of the subtropical high pressure in the upper layers, with the axis in the Central and South Central regions. The wind is weak, with a tendency to gradually shift to the Southwest in a few days.

Therefore, in the middle of April, the South will have no rain and hot days. In the second half of the week, there is a possibility of a few days of unseasonal rain, occurring in some places with light rainfall, mostly under 10mm. There is a possibility of intense heat from 37 - 38 degrees Celsius and above 38 degrees Celsius for a few days.

In the last week of April, the area is mainly affected by the edge of the hot low pressure in the West with the center in the North, along with the influence of the subtropical high pressure in the upper layers, which tends to lift the axis to the North and pass through the Central region.

The weather forecast for the South is for scattered showers and thunderstorms. The Meteorological Agency warns people to be on guard against tornadoes, lightning, hail, localized heavy rain and strong gusts of wind. Some days will be extremely hot with temperatures above 37 degrees Celsius.
