At the project site on the morning of February 27, Mr. Do Duc Hung, representative of the investor, the Hanoi Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board, said that after completing 9 open tunnel segments and 1 closed tunnel segment on the Dinh Cong side, contractors are currently constructing drainage ditches along both sides. |

Regarding the current status of the project construction at Dinh Cong, Mr. Ho Duc Phuc (Cienco4 Corporation - main contractor) managing the project said that the construction of the tunnel at Dinh Cong ward has been basically completed, however, the project here cannot continue to construct the road leading to the tunnel because there is a household that has built a temporary house and re-encroached (photo number 1), and a 630 KVA transformer station (photo number 2). |

After the intersection expansion is completed, all vehicles traveling on Giai Phong Street will enter the temporary road towards Kim Dong, which has just been expanded. The intersection will be fenced off for drilling and digging the main tunnel. |

It is expected that from May 2024, the drilling and tunneling across Giai Phong Street to connect Ring Road 2.5 to Kim Dong Street will be carried out by construction units. |
The Ring Road 2.5 underpass project through Giai Phong Street has a total length of 460 meters, a scale of 4 lanes for motor vehicles and goes underground through the Giai Phong - Kim Dong intersection. The project started on October 6, 2022 with an investment of 778 billion VND, completed in the first quarter of 2025 with the goal of completing the Ring Road 2.5 route, reducing congestion at the Giai Phong - Kim Dong intersection.
At the project site on February 27, Mr. Do Duc Hung, Supervision Department 5, Hanoi City Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board (investor) said that the project is still on schedule to open to traffic in the second quarter of 2025.
