In the past 24 hours, due to the impact of storm No. 3, Phu Tho has had moderate to heavy rain, and in some places very heavy rain. Water levels in rivers and streams have risen rapidly, causing floods in the mountainous districts of Thanh Son, Tan Son, and Yen Lap.

In Thanh Son, the water level of the Bua River rose rapidly, passing through the 30/4 Bridge in Thanh Son town, the water rose high on both banks, flooding into houses, forcing some families to evacuate to ensure safety. Currently, the leaders of Thanh Son district have inspected vulnerable points and localities affected by the storm.

In Yen Lap district, due to the rapid flood water, people cannot travel across the spillways across the streams.

Currently, the water level on the Bua River and Thao River continues to rise rapidly. From today (September 8) to September 10, the flood in the river systems in the province will continue to rise with an amplitude of 1-3m.

There is a risk of flash floods on small rivers and streams, landslides on steep slopes in many places in the province, especially in the districts of Thanh Son, Tan Son, Yen Lap, Cam Khe, Ha Hoa, Thanh Ba, Doan Hung, Thanh Thuy, Tam Nong.

Rapidly rising floods on rivers and streams can cause flooding in low-lying areas along rivers and streams, affecting traffic activities, aquaculture, agricultural production on riverbanks, river banks and landslides along both sides of the river. At the same time, it threatens people's lives, causes local traffic congestion, affects the movement of vehicles, destroys civil works, and causes damage to production and socio-economic activities.

Localities are making efforts to review and overcome the damage caused by Storm No. 3. In vulnerable areas at risk of flash floods and landslides, localities have proactively assigned staff to be on duty and placed warning signs to ensure the safety of life and property for the State and the People.
