Traffic police put up warning tape and regulated traffic at flooded areas.

This is the location of the old bridge that was damaged and degraded and is being repaired, replaced with new bridge girders, and paved with asphalt. During the construction process, the construction unit opened a bypass to allow vehicles to pass, but water from upstream flooded more than 1 meter, making it impossible for vehicles to move.

According to a leader of the Department of Construction of Gia Lai province, the Plei Lok bridge being repaired is more than 30m long, the bridge surface is 7m wide, the total cost of the repair package is 8 billion, the repair is expected to be completed in August 2025.

Mr. Trinh Van Sang, Chairman of Phu Thien District People's Committee, said that at around 6:30 this morning, water from upstream flooded Plei Lok Bridge. This made it impossible for vehicles traveling from Gia Lai - Phu Yen and Gia Lai - Kon Tum provinces to move.

Authorities temporarily installed wooden planks on the bridge under repair to allow motorbikes and pedestrians to pass.

According to the Chairman of Phu Thien District People's Committee, the locality has mobilized forces from the District Military Command, local militia and Ayun Ha commune to be on duty at the flooded area, ensuring the safety of people's lives. Specialized agencies are making efforts to clear the flow, in case the flood continues to pour in, they will study the installation of an iron bridge across the flooded area for temporary vehicle movement.

It is known that as soon as there was information about the flood on National Highway 25, Road Traffic Police Team No. 1 (Traffic Police Department, Gia Lai Provincial Police) arranged officers and soldiers to go to the scene to set up warning lines, divert and regulate traffic at the flooded bridge location.

At present, hundreds of vehicles are stuck here and cannot move. Authorities have temporarily erected wooden planks on the bridge under repair to allow motorbikes and pedestrians to pass.
