
In Hai Phong, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Do Van Chien and the Central working delegation and city leaders visited Vietnamese Heroic Mother Nguyen Thi Dang (born in 1927), in Kha Lam residential group, Kien An ward. Mother Nguyen Thi Dang had 9 children, of which 2 sons were martyrs fighting against the US, Martyr Pham Huu Tanh who died in 1967 and Martyr Pham Huu Do who died in 1972. She was awarded the honorary title of "Vietnamese Heroic Mother" by the State in 2014. The City Military Command supports her with a monthly allowance of 1 million VND.
Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Do Van Chien and the delegation also visited and presented gifts to the family of Mr. Le Van Thao (born in 1953), a resistance fighter who was exposed to toxic chemicals, with a body injury rate of 61%, living in Vinh Khe residential group, An Hai ward. Mr. Le Van Thao had been active in the Tay Ninh battlefield from December 1972 to April 1975. After leaving the army and returning to his hometown, Mr. Thao worked as a worker at the Hai Phong Textile Company and retired in 2005. His family has 3 children; after his wife passed away, Mr. Thao is currently living alone, in good health and clear-minded. His family has always been exemplary in implementing the policies of the Party and the State.

The delegation also visited and presented gifts to war invalids: Luu Trung Sinh (born in 1950, living in Le Duan 1 group, Kien An ward) is a war invalid of level 2/4, with a body injury rate of 61%; Do Huy Nong (born in 1949, living in lane 933 Ton Duc Thang, Hong Bang ward) is a war invalid of level 3/4, with a body injury rate of 45%, and is also a resistance fighter infected with toxic chemicals; Nguyen Van Loc (born in 1945, living in Gia Vien ward), is a war invalid of level 3/4, with a body injury rate of 41%, and is also a resistance fighter infected with toxic chemicals.
On behalf of the leaders of the Party, State and Vietnam Fatherland Front, comrade Do Van Chien expressed his deep gratitude for the great contributions and sacrifices of Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, war invalids and families with meritorious services to the revolution in the cause of fighting for national independence and reunification; wished good health to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, war invalids and families with meritorious services. Visiting the lives of the families, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Do Van Chien hoped that the families would continue to promote the revolutionary tradition, be exemplary, and contribute to building Hai Phong city to develop more and more.
Listening to the sharing of Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, war invalids, and representatives of families of people with meritorious services, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Do Van Chien acknowledged and commended Hai Phong city for effectively implementing the work of gratitude and caring for the lives of people with meritorious services in the past time; at the same time, he requested the local government to continue to actively implement policies and regimes, and care for families with meritorious services to the revolution to have a better life in the coming time.
The war invalids and their families' representatives could not hide their emotions at the attention of the Party, State and Fatherland Front for those with meritorious services; they expressed their trust and expectations in the country's innovations, especially the restructuring and streamlining of the apparatus that is being implemented from the central to local levels.
* Presenting gifts to wounded and sick soldiers at Nho Quan War Invalids Nursing Center, Nho Quan Commune, Ninh Binh Province, Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice President - General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Nguyen Thi Thu Ha expressed her deep gratitude for the contributions and sacrifices of heroic martyrs, wounded and sick soldiers, families of people with meritorious services to the revolution in general, and seriously wounded and sick soldiers being cared for and treated at the Center in particular in the cause of fighting for independence and defending the Fatherland. Happy and excited that the Center is increasingly spacious and clean, the Vice President - General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front sent her best wishes to the wounded and sick soldiers, people with meritorious services being treated at the Center and the team of cadres, doctors and nurses who are always enthusiastic and responsible for their work.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Ha emphasized that along with the general development of the country, the work of caring for and supporting people with meritorious services is increasingly being paid attention to. In particular, Ninh Binh province has had many activities and policies to care for people with meritorious services. In the coming time, the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee needs to actively pay attention and organize many activities of "Repaying gratitude", pay attention to investing in facilities so that each war invalid, sick soldier, policy families and people with meritorious services at the Center in particular and the whole province in general will receive more attention.
The center needs to continue to do a good job of treatment, rehabilitation, and dedicated and thoughtful care to stabilize health, ensure a nursing regime, improve physical fitness as well as the best regimes and policies so that this place can truly be a spiritual support and a reliable address for wounded and sick soldiers and families of those with meritorious services. In particular, wounded and sick soldiers continue to promote the qualities of Uncle Ho's soldiers, live happily, healthily, and be useful; always be a spiritual support for their children and grandchildren, and be an example for the younger generation to learn and practice.
On this occasion, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Ha and leaders of Ninh Binh province presented gifts to 143 wounded soldiers, sick soldiers, and relatives of meritorious people being treated at the Center.
After 60 years of establishment and development, Nho Quan War Invalids Nursing Center has received, treated and cared for over 2,000 seriously wounded and sick soldiers. Currently, the Center manages, cares for, rehabilitates and implements policies for 143 people, including 60 wounded and sick soldiers; 24 resistance fighters and children of resistance fighters infected with toxic chemicals; 59 people are social protection beneficiaries.
* In Lam Dong province, Party Central Committee member, Vice President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Ha Thi Nga and the delegation visited and presented gifts to families of war invalids and revolutionary veterans: Mr. Nguyen Van So (born in 1963); Mr. Do Van Luyen (born in 1954); Mr. Cao Van Hoi (born in 1959); Mr. Nguyen Thanh Chinh (born in 1954). These are revolutionary veterans, war invalids and sick soldiers who have devoted their whole lives to the cause of fighting for independence, protecting and building the Fatherland. They are symbols of patriotism, loyalty and noble sacrifice. Despite their old age, the veterans still maintain their revolutionary qualities, inspiring and setting a shining example for the younger generations to follow.
The delegation also visited and presented gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mother Luong Thi Con, Xuan Hoa quarter, Binh Thuan ward, 86 years old this year, whose husband and children are martyrs.
On behalf of the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Vice President Ha Thi Nga sent greetings and regards to the health and life of war invalids, sick soldiers, and families of those who have contributed to the revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation.
The Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front hopes that revolutionary veterans, war invalids, sick soldiers, and families of policy beneficiaries will continue to promote the revolutionary tradition, support and accompany the local government to successfully carry out the tasks of local socio-economic development; contributing to building a rich and beautiful homeland.
Identifying that taking care of people with revolutionary contributions is a regular political task, demonstrating the morality, sentiment and sacred responsibility of the entire political system, in recent years, Lam Dong province has implemented many practical policies, such as: Supporting Vietnamese Heroic Mothers; supporting the construction and repair of houses; health care; organizing nursing; visiting and giving gifts on holidays and Tet... to people with revolutionary contributions. The movements of "Repaying gratitude" and "Remembering the source of water" have spread more and more widely, effectively mobilizing social resources to take care of policy families.
