The Hue Monuments Conservation Center has just announced free admission to Hue heritage sites for Vietnamese citizens on August 19 and September 2, to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and National Day September 2.

Specifically, free opening hours start from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on August 19 and September 2.
Visitors only need to bring their ID card to enter the gates to visit relics such as Hue Imperial City, Tu Duc Tomb, Khai Dinh Tomb, Minh Mang Tomb, Hue Royal Antiquities Museum, An Dinh Palace, Hon Chen Palace, etc.

According to the Hue Monuments Conservation Center, previously, Vietnamese citizens were also exempted from entrance fees on other major festivals and holidays such as the first day of Lunar New Year, Hue Liberation Day (March 26), and Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day (November 23).
The implementation of free admission tickets for major holidays of the year is carried out according to Resolution No. 27/2024/NQ-HDND dated November 15, 2024 of the People's Council of Thua Thien - Hue province (now Hue city).
Tourists visiting the ancient capital of Hue can see the art exhibition of the four sacred animals.
On this occasion, in addition to visiting the typical heritage works of the ancient capital of Hue that have just been restored (such as Thai Hoa Palace, Kien Trung Palace...), visitors can also enjoy special art programs and exhibitions taking place in the heritage space.

Specifically, at Kien Trung Palace, there is an exhibition "Images of the Four Sacred Animals through Visual Arts" organized by the Hue Monuments Conservation Center in collaboration with the University of Arts, Hue University.
The exhibition takes place from August 1 to 30, introducing 46 paintings, graphics, sculptures, installations... inspired by the image of the four sacred animals (dragon, unicorn, turtle, phoenix) in Oriental aesthetics and Hue royal heritage, with the spirit of inheriting tradition and creative innovation.
