Once a familiar face on television with a youthful, dynamic style, Minh Trang is not only known as a charming MC but also an inspirational "hot mom" model. However, her career and image have recently been caught up in a scandal related to a summer camp model called Eager Village founded and run by MC Minh Trang.
From TV to Modern Motherhood
Born in 1987 in Hanoi , Minh Trang began to gain public attention when she was only 14 years old with the role of the younger sister of the character Thuong (played by actress Thu Nga) in the movie Ahead is the sky. Not only does she have a bright appearance and natural acting ability, she is also an excellent student and won a scholarship from the Japanese Embassy and a place to study abroad in Australia.
After graduating from Hanoi Foreign Trade University, Minh Trang joined Vietnam Television and quickly became one of the outstanding young MCs through programs such as Do Re Mi, Tuoi Doi Vang Mong, Bai Hat Viet, Quoc Nuoc Khoi Nghiep, MTV Magazine ... Returning from France after completing her master's degree in communications, she continued to work as an English editor at VTV4.
After getting married and having 4 children, MC Minh Trang She withdrew from the television environment and chose a new direction as a mother sharing her parenting journey on social media. Her personal channel attracts hundreds of thousands of followers, not only because of her experience as a mother but also because of her closeness, positivity and spirit of continuous learning.
Education Startup and Personal Branding Journey
Not stopping at the role of inspiration, Minh Trang turned to business in the field of children's education. She founded a series of projects: Little Sprout - specializes in guiding children from 0-6 years old, Eager Box - Educational products in the form of book and toy combos, successfully raised capital at the program Shark Tank Vietnam (Billion Dollar Deal) with a valuation of 8 billion VND for 10% of shares.
Her biggest and most resonant project is the Eager Village nature experience summer camp model for children aged 5-15, organized as a concentrated living format for 3-8 days. Since 2020, tens of thousands of children have participated in the camps, which are promoted as helping children learn survival skills, independence and connection with nature.
Minh Trang’s image in the public eye is a symbol of a modern woman: successful, educated, loving children and not afraid to start a business. The fact that she takes care of a large family while running an education company is admired by many young mothers. Her skillful communication and solid background knowledge help her gain the trust of a large community of parents.
However, it is this fame that makes any mistake in activities associated with Minh Trang's name easily become the center of controversy.
In early July 2025, social media was abuzz with a series of complaints from parents whose children attended the Eager Village summer camp. They reported that their children were bullied, teased, and even had their personal belongings stolen; many children returned with signs of rashes, dermatitis, and psychological panic. A parent in Hanoi said that her 9-year-old son often had to "hold back his bowel movements" because the toilets were so dirty.
In addition, many comments pointed out that the camp's facilities did not meet expectations with quite high tuition fees, not to mention the camp beds had no mattresses, many mosquitoes, the swimming pool had larvae and the toilets were always overloaded.
In response to the backlash from the public, on July 5, Minh Trang officially apologized. In a long post on her personal page, she admitted to receiving negative feedback from some parents, pledging to contact each case to learn about the health and psychology of the children. She expressed regret and affirmed that she would improve the quality of service, facilities and customer care processes.
Two days later, the official Fanpage of Eager Village posted a statement acknowledging some limitations in collective hygiene, confirming that there were situations of teasing children but that timely intervention had been made. At the same time, the organization committed to increasing the number of cleaning staff, repairing facilities, and asking parents to carefully assess their children's health and psychology before registering.
However, many parents said that the response from Minh Trang and the organizing team was still a formality, not directly addressing key concerns such as hygiene, bullying, or medical care when children have health problems.
On July 8, Vu Duc Thanh - Minh Trang's husband and also the legal representative of Lang Hao Huc also posted a public apology, admitting that he could not control his emotions when talking to some parents. However, the move to post a private message that was considered "selective" and "fire-fighting" caused many people to react strongly, thinking that he was not really receptive.
The couple’s apology posts have received mixed reactions. Some people have supported the experiential education model, calling for understanding and improvement. However, many have demanded refunds, changes to the format, or an independent audit of the camp’s quality.
The incident at Eager Village raises many questions about the responsibility of famous individuals in educational startups. Minh Trang may be an inspirational and passionate person in education, but as the business model expands, she and her team are forced to professionalize operations, risk management, and crisis communications.
Many people believe that the value of "experiencing nature" should be placed within the minimum standards of hygiene and safety. Educational value cannot be based on "lack of amenities" as the sole measure of maturity.
From a teenage TV MC, to a modern mother, and finally the founder of a series of experiential education models - Minh Trang's journey is inspiring but also full of challenges.
The incident at Eager Village is a stark reminder: personal reputation can take a brand far, but it can also turn any oversight into a major "blind spot" if not handled transparently and receptively.
