As a unique cultural activity aimed at the community, “Growing up with tradition” not only stops at introducing traditional values but also creates an experiential space where the public - especially the young - can access, interact and co-create with heritage.

The consistent spirit of the Festival is “preservation-creation-development”, opening up new perspectives on heritage in contemporary life.

The festival brings together nearly 30 units operating in the fields of traditional crafts, visual arts, creative design, culturaleducation and community communication. Attendees will have the opportunity to admire and experience handicraft products imbued with Vietnamese identity such as La Khe silk, Do paper paintings, Dong Ho paintings, artistic paper lamps, mosaic pottery, lacquer, and many products "breathed into life" by modern creative thinking.

A special highlight of the Festival is the rich series of workshops for all ages. Experiential activities such as: decorating bamboo dragonflies, coloring folk paintings on Do paper, printing unique woodcuts, creating with lacquer, recycling old items, silk painting... not only inspire crafts but also encourage participants to create cultural products with their own personal stamp.

In addition, the Festival also offers a space to enjoy traditional arts through performances of Xam singing, Ca Tru singing, and Mong flute, creating lively moments of intersection between folk sounds and modern breath.

Held at Ho Van - a friendly open space in the Temple of Literature - Quoc Tu Giam complex, the Festival encourages active community participation. By integrating creative, educational and artistic activities into the same event, “Growing up with tradition” has been contributing to a new approach to heritage: close, lively, dialogical and pervasive.

Through the Festival, the Organizing Committee hopes to spread the message: Heritage is not only the past to preserve, but also the material for each generation to build the present and pave the way for the future. So that heritage does not lie still in a glass cabinet, but grows with each citizen - each action - each creative inspiration.
