Clean Vietnamese players
The round of 16 and quarter-finals of the Porto 2025 Billiards World Cup took place from the evening of July 4 to the early morning of July 5. In the round of 16, Vietnam billiards had only one representative, Dao Van Ly. The Vietnamese player could not continue to cause surprises, losing 40-50 to Sergio Jimenez (Spain).
The remaining notable names such as Frederic Caudron, Eddy Merckx, and Cho Myung-woo all won in the round of 16. The most surprising face was Gokhan Salman (Türkiye), who defeated compatriot Berkay Karakurt to win a ticket to the quarterfinals.
