Vietnam International Commercial Joint Stock Bank ( VIB ) has just announced that Ms. Nguyen Thi Bich Hanh, an independent member of the Board of Directors, has successfully purchased 25 million VIB shares, equivalent to 0.99% of charter capital.
The transaction was conducted by negotiation between July 25 and August 16.
According to VIB, before the transaction, Ms. Hanh did not hold any VIB shares. Ms. Hanh bought the above shares for personal investment purposes.
If calculated according to the trading price on August 16, VIB shares reached 20,650 VND/share, it is estimated that Ms. Hanh had to spend about 516 billion VND to complete the above transaction.
Previously, in the opposite direction, Mr. Dang Quang Tuan, son of Mr. Dang Khac Vy, Chairman of the Board of Directors of VIB, completed the sale of nearly 125 million VIB shares (equivalent to 4.91%) during the period from July 21 to August 9. The estimated transaction value of Mr. Dang Quang Tuan was VND 2,630 billion.
At the same time as Mr. Tuan's transaction, Funderra Joint Stock Company, an organization related to Mr. Dang Khac Vy, registered to buy 124.7 million VIB shares (equivalent to 4.9% of VIB's charter capital).
Thus, it is likely that the above transaction will take place between Mr. Dang Quang Tuan and Funderra.
On the stock market, VIB stock price has been on an upward trend for the past 4 months, reaching a one-year peak.
At the end of the session on August 18, VIB stock price reached 19,550 VND/share, with trading volume of over 8.8 million units.
