Spreading the emulation movement to build new rural areas and reduce poverty sustainably

In the 2021-2025 period, the emulation movements "The whole country joins hands to build new rural areas" and "Joining hands for the poor - Leaving no one behind" will continue to be effective and spread widely throughout society. The role of the people, together with the active participation of the entire political system and the business community, is an important resource to promote the effective implementation of new rural construction and sustainable poverty reduction in the coming period.

Recently, the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio -political organizations at all levels of Can Tho City have coordinated with the locality to build many green - clean - beautiful roads.

Ms. Pham Thi Thanh Tra, Minister of Home Affairs , said: The two emulation movements "The whole country joins hands to build new rural areas" and "Joining hands for the poor - Leaving no one behind" have spread widely, mobilizing the strength of the entire political system and the active participation of the people. Thereby, contributing to building new rural areas that have truly changed in quality, becoming increasingly rich and civilized; farmers are increasingly prosperous, happy, civilized, modern, and excited to believe in the innovation process. Sustainable poverty reduction has achieved positive results in many criteria. At the same time, continuing to affirm the profound humanity, being directed and implemented by Party committees at all levels, authorities, and organizations, closely following the political tasks of each level, each sector, and each locality, ensuring suitability, practicality, and effectiveness. Many mechanisms and policies have been issued effectively, mobilizing large resources from the people, receiving the support and participation of the people. Creating a vibrant and widespread competitive atmosphere throughout the entire political system, determined to successfully implement the goals of building new rural areas and sustainable poverty reduction in recent times.

Responding to the emulation movement, ministries and branches focused on emulating to perfect institutions and policies for agriculture, farmers and rural areas. Typically, the campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas, civilized urban areas" of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front; the digital transformation program in building new rural areas, towards modern and smart new rural areas of the Ministry of Public Security . The Ministry of Agriculture and Environment actively advised on the promulgation of policies on restructuring the agricultural sector associated with rural economic development to focus on increasing added value and income for people. The Ministry of Science and Technology with the movement "Digital literacy" spreading widely in rural areas has contributed to promoting digital transformation in rural areas and the whole country. The Ministry of Construction focused on building rural transport with the motto "All people build rural transport, people do it, the State supports".

The Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations continue to respond to and implement emulation movements by integrating the content of sustainable new rural construction with campaigns and emulation movements. Thereby, improving the effectiveness of the movement, mobilizing members and union members to actively participate in tasks such as contributing labor and effort to build new rural areas, donating land for road construction, maintaining environmental sanitation, maintaining green - clean - beautiful village roads, developing culture and community tourism. The Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations at all levels coordinate to propagate, actively implement the movement and achieve the goal of poverty reduction through the campaign "Day for the Poor" and social security programs, socio-economic development of each region, each locality...

According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Tuyen, President of the Vietnam Women's Union, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union together with localities has implemented these two programs into the Union's activities over the past years, effectively implementing the movements launched by the Central Committee. In particular, concretizing the "5 no 3 clean" movement for women nationwide, implementing projects directed by the Prime Minister such as the project for women to start a business; supporting women to borrow capital for economic development. The Union has also actively participated in implementing environmental criteria, building prosperous, equal, happy families and implementing programs such as "Roads with flowers, houses with numbers"; supporting women to implement start-up models to produce OCOP products.

Provinces and centrally-run cities have issued many support mechanisms, focusing resources on investing in infrastructure, building rural infrastructure, applying high technology to develop modern, efficient, sustainable agriculture in an ecological direction. Resources mobilized to build new rural areas are rich and diverse, especially socialized resources are effectively mobilized in implementing new rural construction. Through the emulation movement, many typical models, good and creative practices have emerged, such as the "Smart Commune" model; the "Digital Village" model; the "2 no, 2 yes" Youth Village model; the "Organic rice production, applying 4.0 technology, linked to consumption linkage" model; organizing agencies and units to register to sponsor and help poor households in many forms; granting free health insurance cards, organizing medical examination and treatment; supporting scholarships, learning tools; exempting and reducing tuition fees; provide nutrition for poor students

Promoting the achievements of emulation movements in the period of 2021-2025, regarding the orientation for the coming time, Ms. Pham Thi Thanh Tra said: The Ministry of Home Affairs - the standing agency of the Central Emulation and Reward Council requested ministries, branches and localities to continue promoting patriotic emulation movements, contributing to the successful completion of socio-economic development tasks, maintaining national defense and security in 2025. The Central Emulation and Reward Council will continue to research to launch the emulation movement to build new rural areas and the emulation movement to reduce poverty with higher goals in the period of 2026-2030, to contribute to the completion of the great goals of the entire Party and the entire nation.

Senior Lieutenant General Be Xuan Truong, Chairman of the Vietnam Veterans Association, shared: For veterans, they will continue to be the core political force, especially in localities, exemplary leaders, complying with the Party's guidelines and policies and the State's laws.
