At the press conference, providing information on the results of the implementation of tasks in the first 6 months of 2025, Deputy Chief of Office of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Huu Ngoc said that in the context of the country entering a period of strong transformation, implementing the goals of rapid and sustainable development according to the strategic orientation of the Party and State, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism continues to resolutely and synchronously deploy tasks according to the annual work plan, closely following the theme "Discipline - Setting an example - Responsibility - Streamlining - Efficiency - Reaching the finish line".
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has promoted its role as a creator and leader in spreading cultural values, improving the physical strength and spirit of the entire population, and promoting tourism to become a key economic sector. Key tasks have been effectively implemented, contributing significantly to the sustainable development of the country.
Regarding the work of building and perfecting institutions: The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism focuses on directing the development and promulgation of the Plan to implement the Ministry's Action Program, documents assigning tasks to implement the Government's Resolutions on socio-economic development, administrative procedure reform, digital transformation and visa exemption policy to promote tourism .
As of July 22, 2025, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has reported to the Government to submit 01 draft Law to the National Assembly for approval; submitted to the Government for promulgation of 06 Decrees, 01 Resolution; submitted to the Prime Minister for promulgation of 10 Decisions; issued under its authority 10 Circulars. On the database management system for inter-connected monitoring between the Government and the Ministry and in confidential documents, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has been assigned 127 tasks by the Government and the Prime Minister. Of which, 48 tasks are in regular documents and 79 tasks are in confidential documents. To date, the Ministry has completed 71 tasks and is performing 56 tasks.
Regarding the protection and promotion of cultural heritage values, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has submitted to the Government for promulgation Decree 208/2025/ND-CP dated July 17, 2025 stipulating the authority, order, procedures, dossiers for establishing, appraising and approving archaeological planning; planning, projects for preserving, restoring and renovating historical - cultural relics, scenic spots; investment projects for construction, construction of works, repair, renovation and construction of individual houses located inside and outside the protection areas of historical - cultural relics, scenic spots and world heritages; investment projects for construction, renovation and upgrading of technical infrastructure works and exhibition of public museums. Submitted to the Government 02 Decrees; The Prime Minister decided and approved: ranking 05 special national relics; 04 plans for preserving, restoring and renovating relics; 03 Tasks of developing a plan for the preservation, restoration and rehabilitation of relics. Issuing 03 Circulars; 04 Decisions. Developing 05 Circulars regulating the economic and technical standards of the list of public careers in the field of cultural heritage. Issuing 24 decisions on archaeological exploration and excavation for provinces/cities.
At the 47th Session of the World Heritage Committee in Paris, France, the Yen Tu - Vinh Nghiem - Con Son, Kiep Bac Monuments and Landscape Complex was recognized by UNESCO as a World Cultural Heritage. This is a relic complex with special historical, cultural and religious values, located in the provinces of Quang Ninh, Bac Ninh, Hai Phong and the collection of documents of musician Hoang Van was also recognized by UNESCO as a World Documentary Heritage. Coordinate with the Lao People's Democratic Republic in receiving and explaining comments on the dossier of Hin-nam-no National Park submitted to UNESCO for recognition as a World Natural Heritage.
The fields of Grassroots Culture, Family and Library, Culture of Vietnamese Ethnic Groups, Cinema, Performing Arts and Literature, Fine Arts, Photography and Exhibitions, Copyright and Cultural Industry... continue to achieve many results.

Regarding the field of Physical Education and Sports, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has developed a Decree to replace Decree No. 152/2018/ND-CP dated November 7, 2018 of the Government stipulating a number of regimes for sports coaches and athletes during training and competition periods; 03 Circulars; 05 Projects. Issued 03 Circulars; Plan to implement the Strategy for the Development of Physical Education and Sports in Vietnam to 2030, with a vision to 2045.
Develop a Directive on promoting the Campaign "All people practice physical training following the example of great Uncle Ho" for the period 2021-2030. Issue 04 professional sports training programs for instructors of each sport. Coordinate with localities to organize 07 national mass sports tournaments and 05 professional training courses on sports attracting 4,116 officials, athletes, coaches, collaborators, and grassroots sports instructors.
In addition, focus on preparing to participate in the 33rd SEA Games in Thailand; the Asian Youth Games in Bahrain and international sporting events in 2025. In the international competition results in the first 6 months of 2025, Vietnamese Sports has achieved many remarkable achievements, competing excellently and winning 337 international medals.

For the Tourism sector: In the first 6 months of 2025, the total number of international tourists to Vietnam is estimated at 10,664,608, an increase of 20.7% over the same period in 2024; domestic tourists are estimated at 77.5 million. Total revenue from tourism is estimated at 518 trillion VND.
