The exhibition “80 Years of Journey of Independence - Freedom - Happiness” will open next week at the Vietnam Exhibition Center (Dong Anh).

The exhibition brings together 34 provinces and cities; 28 ministries and sectors; 94 private enterprises, 12 state-owned enterprises with a total of about 180 industries and more than 230 booths.

Each exhibition booth is designed in a modern style, each department and sector has its own space, reflecting the length of history and outstanding achievements today.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs will display the space “Diplomacy in the Ho Chi Minh era: 80 years of dedicated service to the nation and people” in Hall 8 of the exhibition center. The exhibition area introduces hundreds of images, documents and valuable artifacts, carefully selected from many rich sources at home and abroad, including many diplomatic documents published for the first time.

The exhibition also clearly depicts the important and constant role of diplomacy in creating and maintaining a peaceful and stable environment and making the most of external resources and favorable conditions to serve the country's strategic goals, enhancing Vietnam's position and prestige in the international arena.

Deputy Foreign Minister Le Thi Thu Hang said the exhibition will bring visitors a meaningful story about the 80-year development of Vietnam's diplomacy.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs was one of the first ministries established in the Provisional Revolutionary Government of Vietnam, founded by President Ho Chi Minh himself and also the first Minister.

From the early days of nation building and during both resistance wars, diplomacy was one of the important fronts to lead our nation to complete victory.

During nearly 40 years of innovation, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs continues its mission of pioneering, working with other ministries, branches and military branches to create miracles, making Vietnam a bright spot in the region and the world.

Deputy Minister Le Thi Thu Hang said that up to now, Vietnam has had diplomatic relations with 194 countries, the Communist Party of Vietnam has relations with 259 political parties in the world; economic integration, cultural diplomacy, foreign information work, citizen protection, overseas Vietnamese, and territorial borders with many imprints...

“Being honored and proud of the achievements of 80 years of accompanying the nation and the country, we are even more aware of the responsibility of diplomatic staff, especially young staff, when the country is entering a new era, an era of national strength and prosperity,” the Deputy Minister emphasized.

Currently, the exhibition area of ​​the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is being urgently completed.

Deputy Director of the Diplomatic Academy Nguyen Manh Dong shared that despite the pressure of time and quality requirements, with the close direction of the leaders of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, units within the ministry and 98 Vietnamese representative agencies abroad have provided many valuable documents and images, many of which are appearing for the first time.

The Deputy Director of the Diplomatic Academy hopes that the exhibition area will bring a new impression, marking 80 years of dedicated service to the country and people of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Thereby, inspiring the young generation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to continue writing the heroic history of the industry in the new era of the nation.
