Hue Imperial City - World Cultural Heritage

Hue Imperial City is the citadel in the ancient capital of Hue, the capital of the Nguyen Dynasty for 140 years from 1805 to 1945. Currently, Hue Imperial City is one of the relics belonging to the Complex of Hue Monuments recognized by UNESCO as a World Cultural Heritage.
Hue was chosen by the Nguyen Lords as the capital of the “Dang Trong” region long ago and officially became the capital under the Tay Son Dynasty. For nearly 4 centuries, Hue has become a great complex of architectural relics and landscapes, the whole complex has been recognized by UNESCO as a world cultural heritage.
