Construction of the second section of the 500kV Lao Cai-Vinh Yen transmission line, through Phu Tho province, began

ANTD.VN - The 500kV Lao Cai - Vinh Yen line is a national key project passing through 4 provinces. The section passing through Phu Tho province is the second section to start construction.

Delegates perform the project groundbreaking ceremony

On March 5, in Phu Tho , Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN), Power Project Management Board 1 held a ceremony to launch the construction of the 500KV Lao Cai - Vinh Yen transmission line, the section passing through Phu Tho province.

The route passing through Phu Tho province is 41.06 km long, has 94 electric pole foundation locations (from VT275 to VT369), passing through 3 districts: Doan Hung, Thanh Ba and Phu Ninh.

The project contributes to ensuring energy sources for the province's medium and long-term development goals, increasing budget revenue, and creating job opportunities for local businesses and workers.

Mr. Bui Phuong Nam - Director of Power Project Management Board 1 said that up to now, the conditions for project construction have been completed and in accordance with legal regulations.

According to Mr. Pham Hong Phuong - Deputy General Director of EVN, during the investment preparation and project implementation, EVN received support and close coordination from the Provincial Party Committee, People's Committee of Phu Tho province, departments and branches of the provinces; District Party Committees, People's Committees of Doan Hung, Thanh Ba and Phu Ninh districts, and the solidarity and unanimity of the people in the project area to speed up the progress of compensation, support and resettlement.

Vietnam Electricity Group requests the leaders of the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Committee, leaders of departments and branches of Phu Tho province; leaders of local districts and communes in the project area to continue to pay attention to and direct the implementation of compensation, support, and resettlement work, and promptly complete the handover of all ground areas of pole foundations and route corridors so that the investor can organize and synchronously implement construction of pole foundations along the entire route to meet the project's progress.

Vietnam Electricity Group also assigned the Power Project Management Board 1 and contractors to manage the project, organize construction to ensure compliance with quality and environmental requirements, focus resources and equipment to speed up progress, and strive to complete the project according to the set plan.

Previously, on March 3, 2025 in Yen Bai , Vietnam Electricity Group and Power Project Management Board 1 held a ceremony to launch the construction of the 500KV Lao Cai - Vinh Yen transmission line, the section passing through Yen Bai province.
