Attending the program were comrades: Nguyen Thi Tuyen, member of the Party Central Committee, Vice President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, President of the Vietnam Women's Union; Major General Ngo Hoai Thu, Deputy Director of the Department of Political Work, Head of the Women's Committee of the People's Public Security; Ngo Thi Kim Hoan, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice President of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee.
At the program, 250 war invalids, sick soldiers, victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin, and relatives of policy families in Hoang Hoa Tham and Long Hung communes were examined and advised on health care by doctors and nurses from the 19-8 Hospital of the Ministry of Public Security to prevent and fight some common diseases.
The delegates presented gifts to 3 Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, each worth 4.5 million VND; presented 181 gifts to families of policy beneficiaries and people with revolutionary contributions, each worth 1.5 million VND; presented 80 scholarships, each including gifts and 1 million VND to poor students who overcame difficulties to study well. The Provincial Police Women's Association presented 1 book project to the Pham Kinh An Secondary School Library, Long Hung Commune, including 780 books and stories worth more than 60 million VND.
Speaking at the program, Comrade Nguyen Thi Tuyen, member of the Party Central Committee, Vice President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee, President of the Vietnam Women's Union expressed her gratitude for the contributions of families with meritorious services to the revolution; and wished the Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, war invalids, sick soldiers, people with meritorious services to the revolution, and relatives of families with meritorious services to good health; continue to be a shining example of mobilizing andeducating their children to actively study, practice, work and comply with the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws, contributing to the overall development of the province. She hoped that local Party committees and authorities would continue to pay more attention to the material and spiritual life and promptly resolve regimes and policies for families with meritorious services to the revolution.
After the program, delegates visited and presented 66 gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers in the province.
