New rural development
Over the past 5 years, the average economic growth rate of Cho Moi commune has been quite good. Average income per capita increased by more than 31.9%; the poverty rate decreased to 8.09%. The economic structure has shifted in a positive direction, with trade - services and small-scale industry accounting for 38%, and agriculture - forestry accounting for 62%.
The commune established 13 new cooperatives, bringing the total number of cooperatives to 29. Some cooperatives carry out production in the direction of product chains connecting post-harvest consumption, including 8 3-star OCOP products, 4 products certified by VietGAP, and 3 typical rural industrial products.
The new rural construction movement was implemented with a total investment of more than 21 billion VND, mobilizing over 600 million VND from social resources to build bridges and lighting roads. Thanks to that, the infrastructure has changed significantly, the intra-village and inter-village roads have been hardened; schools and medical stations have been upgraded; the rate of cultural families has reached an average of 92%.
The education and health sectors have been maintained stably, with 4/9 schools meeting national standards; the rate of students passing the next grade and graduating is 100%; 95% of the population participates in health insurance; 175 houses have been newly built or repaired for poor households and policy families.

Cho Moi has strengths in agricultural and forestry development, with 1,416 hectares of planted forests, an average food output of 480 kg/person/year; there are many areas specializing in fruit trees, tea, and potatoes. Livestock farming remains stable with a herd of 680 buffaloes and cows, 3,000 pigs, over 900 goats, and 35,000 poultry.
Along with that, the system of relics and scenic spots such as: National historical relic of the Military Ordnance Department and the Vietnam Weapon Production Union, Provincial historical - cultural relic of Tham Temple, Historical relic of the resistance war of the Military Ordnance Technical Research Institute; along with the community tourism model of Khuan Bang village - where the landscape and identity of the Tay, Nung, Dao ethnic groups converge... are advantages for developing services - tourism, creating more livelihoods for the people.
Comrade Tran Manh Cuong, Chairman of Cho Moi Commune People's Committee, emphasized: We will exploit the maximum potential of agricultural and forestry products, deep processing and service and tourism development to make Cho Moi a highlight of the province.
Entering the 2025-2030 term, the Cho Moi Commune Party Committee has identified key directions, goals and tasks, which are: Average income per capita reaches 69 million VND/person/year, 1.5 times higher than in 2025; average product value growth rate is 10.5%/year; economic structure is agriculture - forestry 40%, trade - service - tourism 28%, industry - construction 32%; maintain 8 3-star OCOP products, have at least 1 4-star product; achieve new rural standards by 2030; new forest planting area after exploitation is 260ha/year; 77% of schools meet national standards; trained labor rate is over 70%; health insurance participation rate is 96%; sustainable poverty reduction, no more poor households according to multidimensional standards; forest coverage rate is 69%; 95% of administrative procedures are resolved through online public services…

Comrade Trieu Tien Trinh, Secretary of the Cho Moi Commune Party Committee, said: Along with other key tasks, this term, the locality will prioritize site clearance, construction of industrial cluster infrastructure, key traffic works and continue to effectively implement national target programs, creating momentum for sustainable development.
