Opening of the photo and documentary exhibition "Hai Phong - Converging identity, affirming position, creating the future"

Attending the program were Ms. Tran Thi Hoang Mai, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, along with representatives of relevant departments, agencies and units and a large number of people of the city.

The exhibition will take place from now until July 10, 2025, displaying more than 300 photos and selected excerpts from photographers, press agencies and artists of Hai Phong and Hai Duong. The exhibition content vividly summarizes the outstanding achievements in economy , industry, high-tech agriculture, logistics, urban areas, tourism; at the same time honoring the cultural values, architecture, beliefs, people and unique heritage of the two localities.

Each work is a story, truly reflecting the development journey, integration and aspirations of Hai Phong - a city aiming to become a modern, smart, sustainable industrial city of regional stature by 2030, and among the leading cities in Asia and the world by 2045.

Leaders cut the ribbon to open the Exhibition.

Speaking at the opening of the Exhibition, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Tran Thi Hoang Mai said: Hai Phong city and Hai Duong province have officially merged, forming the new Hai Phong city - a special urban area with an area of over 3,500 km², a population of over 4 million people, ranking third in the country in terms of size and population. The exhibition is not only a cultural and artistic activity, but also an event with special political, historical and media symbolic significance, marking the moment when Hai Phong and Hai Duong - two lands sharing the cultural flow of the Eastern Region - officially merged into one administrative entity. This is not only an expansion of geographical space, but also a profound convergence of identity, a strong increase in internal strength and an expected expansion of the development vision in the future.

On this occasion, at the City Theater Square, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism released more than 400 tourism publications to promote the image of the friendly and hospitable land and people of Hai Phong, introducing to the public many attractive and unique destinations./.
