Possible tornadoes, lightning, hail and localized heavy rain

According to Lao Cai Province Hydrometeorological Station, at 2:00 p.m., convective clouds are developing, causing showers and thunderstorms in many areas. Some places may experience moderate to heavy rain, concentrated in A Mu Sung, Y Ty, Trinh Tuong communes and Nghia Lo and Cau Thia wards.

Currently this cloud area is moving from Tuyen Quang province to Lao Cai province.

In the next 2 to 4 hours, this convective cloud area will continue to cause showers and local thunderstorms, moderate rain, and heavy rain for the communes of A Mu Sung, Y Ty, Trinh Tuong, Nghia Lo ward, Cau Thia ward, then thunderstorms will move and affect the communes of Yen Binh, Luc Yen, Tran Yen, Van Chan and neighboring areas.

During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong winds that can break trees, damage houses, traffic works and infrastructure. People need to regularly update weather information, have response plans to avoid damage to people and property.
