In the 2021-2024 period, the province has built and repaired more than 1,000 charity houses and solidarity houses; issued nearly 132,000 health insurance cards; supported nearly 10,000 poor and near-poor households with preferential loans to develop production. More than 174,000 workers from poor households and households in difficult circumstances have been provided with jobs, gradually stabilizing their lives... The above results have helped the multidimensional poverty rate decrease by an average of more than 44% per year, far exceeding the target set by the Provincial Party Committee.

Regarding the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses, in just over 3 months (from March to May 2025), Dong Nai has completed 579 houses, exceeding the plan by 124.5% and reaching the finish line 6 months ahead of the Prime Minister's request. The total implementation cost is over 45.7 billion VND.
Speaking at the conference, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Tan Duc emphasized that the 2026-2030 period will be a challenging period for poverty reduction and social security. In the new context when the two-level local government apparatus is being reorganized and streamlined, the implementation of national target programs requires drastic innovation in both direction, management methods and coordination mechanisms.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Tan Duc requested that departments, branches, agencies, units and localities continue to identify sustainable poverty reduction and housing support for people as important, regular and long-term political tasks.
Strengthening propaganda work, strongly innovating approaches to poverty reduction, arousing people's will to rise up; maximally mobilizing and effectively using resources from the state budget, enterprises, organizations, individuals and socialized funds to ensure the sustainability and continuity of poverty reduction programs in the context of implementing two-level local government...
On this occasion, the Provincial People's Committee commended individuals and collectives with high achievements in sustainable poverty reduction in the 2021-2025 period and the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in 2025.
