BDK.VN - On June 28, 2025, the Management Board of the Ben Tre Provincial Women's Economic Development Support Fund (referred to as the Support Fund) held a conference to review the activities of microfinance programs and projects in the first 6 months of 2025 and deploy the direction of activities for the last 6 months of 2025, combined with a ceremony to honor the Chairmen of the Women's Unions of districts and cities who have stopped participating in the program activities.

Attending the conference were Director of the Ben Tre Provincial CSAT Project - Member of the Fund Management Board Nguyen Khac Han, comrades in the Standing Committee of the Provincial Women's Union, the Fund Control Board, the Fund Board of Directors, representatives of the Women's Unions of districts and cities and invited delegates of Tra Vinh province.

According to the report of the Management Board of the Ben Tre Provincial Women's Economic Development Support Fund, in the first 6 months of 2025, the Fund's activities achieved many positive results. The Fund maintained operations in 100% of commune-level areas with a total of 17,825 members; the rate of members borrowing capital was high (96%) and savings mobilization activities developed stably. Core financial indicators all exceeded the safety threshold, demonstrating operational efficiency and sustainable financial autonomy.

The organization and management of the conversion to the 1-level model has been initially effective. The district transaction offices have been completed, and the handover of personnel, assets and documents to the Head Office has been organized safely and in accordance with regulations. The Fund has mobilized and rearranged its staff, ensuring continuity and no interruption in the implementation of the program. The management apparatus has been streamlined, increasing focus and clarity of responsibility, thereby improving processing speed and labor productivity.

The Fund has effectively implemented social security programs, supported more than 1,000 disadvantaged members, built 5 charity houses, with a total social and welfare budget of nearly 850 million VND. Organized 12 training courses to improve capacity for members, implemented financialeducation and training on business production planning for 600 people. Actively communicated preferential policies, new products, promoted digital transformation applications in credit monitoring, and savings with nearly 9,000 members having installed the application.

Coordinate well with the Women's Union at all levels and related units in propaganda, member screening, loan approval and capital recovery coordination. Local authorities, group leaders and hamlet cluster leaders continue to accompany and facilitate appraisal, capital collection and disbursement activities and propaganda of safe microcredit policies.

Speaking at the conference, Chairwoman of the Provincial Women's Union - Chairwoman of the Fund Management Board Nguyen Thi Kim Thoa highly appreciated the results achieved by the Support Fund in the first 6 months of the year, especially the active role of leaders of the Women's Union at all levels in coordinating to support the Fund. In the coming time, after the new Vinh Long province officially operates, the Fund of Ben Tre province will merge with the Funds of Tra Vinh and Vinh Long provinces.

The President of the Provincial Women's Union hopes that the Support Fund will further promote the results of the 1-level model, continue to be proactive in credit activities, and at the same time, constantly promote social activities - one of the important goals of the Fund. Actively promote and raise awareness of digital transformation skills for localities to more actively support the Fund's activities, so that microcredit activities will increasingly promote their effectiveness in the new development space.
