The Chairman of the Provincial Association of the Elderly awarded Certificates of Merit from the Central Association of the Elderly of Vietnam to individuals with achievements in participating in building the grassroots political system in the period 2019-2024.
At the conference, delegates heard reports on outstanding results in caring for and promoting the role of the elderly in recent times. The Association has coordinated to organize periodic health check-ups for 47,991 elderly people; maintained 829 Elderly Clubs with 21,536 members.
Promoting the role of the elderly in participating in building the grassroots political system, the whole province has 13,821 elderly people participating in the work of the Party, government, and local organizations, grassroots, villages, hamlets, and residential groups; mobilizing families and children to donate 36,275m2 of land, 21,424 working days to participate in eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses and building new rural areas...
In particular, the program "Action Month for the Elderly in Vietnam" has been widely implemented, achieving many practical results, contributing to raising community awareness and mobilizing social resources to care for the elderly. In the period of 2021-2025, 16,826 members were given gifts worth over 3.7 billion VND; organized cultural and sports exchanges for members; maintained periodic health check-ups for the elderly with more than 104,000 people...
In the last 6 months of 2025, the Association will continue to focus on implementing key tasks such as: strengthening propaganda work, replicating the model of the elderly participating in socio -economic development, coordinating health care, and improving the spiritual life of members.
At the conference, the Provincial Association of the Elderly awarded the Medal "For the cause of Protecting, Caring for and Promoting the role of the Vietnamese elderly" of the Vietnam Association of the Elderly to 2 individuals; awarded Certificates of Merit of the Central Association of the Vietnam Association of the Elderly to 4 individuals with achievements in participating in building the grassroots political system in the period of 2019-2024 and awarded Certificates of Merit to 2 individuals with achievements in the Emulation Movement "Old Age - Bright Example" in the period of 2021-2025.
