Reporting at the conference, Ms. Ha Thi Thu Phuong, Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training of Hung Yen, said that in the 2024-2025 school year, the Department of Education and Training of Hung Yen province has strived to complete the set goals and tasks in the spirit of comprehensive innovation with many outstanding results. The quality of education and training at all levels of preschool and general education has been consolidated and developed.
In particular, the quality of key education remains at the top, the quality of mass education continues to improve. In the national excellent student competition, Hung Yen had 110/162 students winning prizes (2 first prizes, 22 second prizes, 35 third prizes, 51 consolation prizes). The National Science and Technology Competition for High School students had 4 projects winning prizes.

In addition, students in the province also actively participate in national and international competitions and achieve high prizes such as: The 7th Student Startup Ideas Competition, Hung Yen students won 1 Third Prize; The 18th International Science and Technology Competition for Invention and Creativity INTARG 2025 in Poland, Hung Yen won 1 Gold Medal; The 2025 Science and Technology Olympiad and International Conference on Creative Works in Korea, Hung Yen won 1 Gold Prize;
In the 2025 High School Graduation Exam, Hung Yen ranked 11th out of 34 provinces and cities in terms of average score of all subjects. Many subjects ranked in the top 10 nationwide. 99.62% of students passed the High School Graduation Exam with 697 points of 10, especially 2 students were the top students of the A00 group nationwide with an absolute score of 30/30... contributing to putting Hung Yen in the top of the country in key education.
Improve the quality of comprehensive education
Speaking at the Conference, Director of the Department of Education and Training of Hung Yen, Pham Dong Thuy, emphasized that the 2025-2026 school year is of special importance. This is the first year to implement the Resolution of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee on the 5-year economic development plan 2026-2030, and is also the first school year to implement the 2025 Law on Teachers.
In the context of the whole country restructuring the apparatus, implementing a two-level government and entering an era of strong development, the Hung Yen education sector has set out many key tasks and solutions. In particular, focusing on doing a good job of universalizing illiteracy eradication, improving the quality of comprehensive education, spearhead education and vocational education.

The industry will also strongly innovate school governance, improve teaching methods, testing and evaluation, and create a breakthrough in digital transformation to build a digital learning environment.
In addition, the solutions also focus on ensuring safety and seriousness for exams; enhancing school psychological counseling and inclusive education; improving the quality of self-training and teacher training; promoting socialization to mobilize resources to improve facilities, etc.
Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Van Nghiem acknowledged and commended the achievements of the education sector in the 2024-2025 school year. At the same time, he also frankly pointed out the shortcomings and limitations and made requirements for the entire sector in the coming time.

Mr. Pham Van Nghiem requested the Department of Education and Training to continue to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of state management, especially in the context of unit mergers and the implementation of a two-level government. It is necessary to urgently advise on perfecting mechanisms and policies to prioritize investment in education, considering this an investment for sustainable development.
The Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Hung Yen province emphasized the need to improve the quality of comprehensive education and key education, fundamentally innovate educational content and methods, and focus on strengthening and improving the quality of the teaching staff to meet the requirements of innovation.
He also requested the education sector to promote the application of technology, digital transformation and focus on mobilizing resources for education, especially investment in facilities and equipment. In particular, there needs to be close coordination between the sector and local authorities at the commune and ward levels in implementing tasks for the school year.
