More than 180 officers and soldiers help people overcome the consequences of storms and floods

On the afternoon of July 24, the Defense Command of Region 3 - Bao Lam informed that the unit had sent more than 180 officers and soldiers to quickly support people in overcoming the consequences of storm No. 3 (Wipha).

The overcoming of the consequences of the storm was carried out immediately to ensure the safety of people in the areas.

Storm No. 3 is a very strong storm, moving quickly, with a wide and dangerous range and intensity of impact on sea and land. The Prime Minister has issued Official Dispatch No. 112/CD-TTg requesting focused response to the storm.

In the southern region of Lam Dong province, heavy rain for many days accompanied by strong winds has knocked down many trees and damaged the roofs of some houses.

Officers and soldiers of the Defense Command of Region 3 and militia and self-defense forces in the areas promptly responded and overcame incidents, ensuring the safety of lives and property of local people.

Response and recovery work was carried out in the following areas: Bao Thuan, Bao Lam 1, Bao Lam 3, Bao Lam 4, Cat Tien, Kien Duc, Hoa Bac communes and Ward 2 Bao Loc, Ward 3 Bao Loc, and B'Lao Ward.

A series of fallen trees and electric poles were quickly handled by officers, soldiers, militia and authorities.

In the above areas, officers and soldiers helped households whose roofs were blown off to move their belongings to safety. They quickly re-roofed 8 households whose roofs were blown off to stabilize their lives.

Officers and soldiers also quickly cleaned up and cleared the scene of a series of fallen trees and electric poles to ensure the safety of people and regulate traffic to ensure no congestion, especially on Bao Loc Pass and central routes in the areas.

Rescue and support in all areas were carried out urgently, quickly and absolutely ensured the safety of people's lives and property.

In addition to rescue activities in communes and wards in the area, the Defense Command of Area 3 - Bao Lam also regularly inspects and reviews storm and flood prevention plans; reinforces and protects key works, unfinished works and key areas at risk of landslides, low-lying and flooded areas in the area; regularly disseminates and supports local people in storm and flood prevention plans.

At the same time, prepare forces and means according to the "4 on-site" motto to promptly and effectively respond to situations and search and rescue, ensuring the safety of people and means for forces on duty.
