Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Pham Thu Hang
After receiving the information, the Vietnamese Embassy in Cambodia proactively worked with the relevant authorities of the country to find out information, requested the Cambodian side to ensure living conditions for Vietnamese citizens and coordinate to complete the initial identity verification procedures, Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Pham Thu Hang said at a regular press conference on July 17.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has directed the Vietnamese Embassy in Cambodia and relevant units to immediately coordinate with domestic and local authorities to carry out necessary consular procedures and support the return of citizens to the country as soon as possible.
Once again, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs recommends that Vietnamese citizens be alert to invitations to go abroad, "easy work, high salary", no requirements for qualifications, no signed contracts, not through businesses, not through labor dispatching organizations.
Citizens need to carefully research the job content, the expected work unit, the relative of the person introducing them, the insurance regime, and benefits to make the right decision before going abroad to work.
Citizens who want to learn more about information and regulations can contact the Citizen Protection Hotline of the Consular Department or the Vietnamese Embassy in Cambodia.
