The entire city of Hanoi has about 13,091 candidates distributed at 20 exam sites for specialized grade 10 entrance exams.
On the morning of June 9, candidates took exams in specialized subjects: Literature, Mathematics, Information Technology and other foreign languages (French, German, Japanese, Korean). A quick report from the Hanoi Departmentof Education and Training showed that 4,955 candidates took the exam, reaching 95.63%, with 226 candidates absent.
On the afternoon of June 9, candidates took the exams: Natural Science (for candidates applying to specialized classes in Chemistry, Physics, Biology) and History and Geography (for candidates applying to specialized classes in History, Geography), English. According to statistics, the number of candidates taking the exam was 7,713 out of a total of 7,901 registered candidates. The number of absent candidates was 197, no candidate violated the regulations.
The admission score for specialized grade 10 is the total score of three subjects Math, Literature, Foreign Language plus the specialized subject multiplied by a coefficient of two, maximum 50.
Hanoi has 4 specialized high schools that enroll students in specialized 10th grade, including: Hanoi - Amsterdam Specialized School, Chu Van An Specialized School, Nguyen Hue Specialized School and Son Tay Specialized School.
The total enrollment target for 10th grade specialized classes this year of 4 schools is 78 classes with 2,730 students. Of which, Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted enrolls 840 students (13 specialized subjects) including: Math, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Information Technology, Literature, History, Geography, English, French, Russian, Chinese, Japanese.
Nguyen Hue High School for the Gifted recruits 700 students (11 specialized subjects) including: Math, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Informatics, Literature, History, Geography, English, French, Russian.
Chu Van An High School for the Gifted recruits 665 students (13 specialized subjects) including: Math, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Informatics, Literature, History, Geography, English, French, Chinese, Japanese, Korean.
Son Tay High School for the Gifted recruits 525 students (9 specialized subjects) including: Math, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Informatics, Literature, History, Geography, English.
According to the plan of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training, from July 4 to July 6, the exam scores of candidates will be announced on the Department's electronic information portal and the city's primary admission portal. Also during this period, the Department will announce the benchmark scores of schools.
