Attending the training session were Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Tan Cuong, member of the Party Central Committee, Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, Deputy Minister of National Defense ; leaders of the Organizing Committee of activities to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory of the Ministry of National Defense. On the side of Dien Bien province, there were comrades: Tran Quoc Cuong, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Le Thanh Do, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

Participating in the parade are 4 forces: Artillery force; air force flying salute; parade force; force standing on the field; totaling more than 12,000 people.

The highlight of the parade was the participation of the artillery force including 18 105mm howitzers and the air force with 11 helicopters flying over the stands.

The program began with 21 rounds of fireworks to the background of the National Anthem of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. This was followed by a performance by 11 helicopters carrying the Party and national flags flying over the stage.

Next was the performance of the parade block (4 honor guard blocks, 24 army blocks, militia and self-defense forces, police) and the parade block (9 blocks of veterans, youth volunteers, frontline workers, workers, farmers, intellectuals, youth, women, and ethnic groups of the Northwest).

Immediately after the joint training program, the leaders of the Ministry of National Defense and Dien Bien province discussed, drew lessons from experience, and directed the participating departments and forces to adjust and overcome some contents to suit the actual situation and ensure the requirements. At the same time, they encouraged officers, soldiers, students, and people to participate in the program.

The parade is an important highlight in the celebration of the 70th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory (May 7, 1954 - May 7, 2024) to demonstrate force and affirm the significance, stature and great historical value of Dien Bien Phu Victory.
