Indonesia is the host of the 2025 Southeast Asian U23 Championship. The Indonesian U23 team is full of determination to win the tournament. To do that, the team from the archipelago country needs to overcome U23 Vietnam, the team that won the last two Southeast Asian U23 Championships in 2022 and 2023.

Speaking to the press, coach Gerald Vanenburg of U23 Indonesia affirmed the goal of winning the U23 Southeast Asian championship. The Dutch strategist said: “Our goal is to win all the matches.
We are never satisfied with second place. I want to win. That is the spirit we need.
I never went into the tournament thinking I would lose. U23 Indonesia has three important tournaments ahead. We try to win on all fronts. Of course, winning tournaments is not always possible, but we do everything to achieve our goal."
In the list of U23 Indonesia participating in the U23 Southeast Asian tournament, the most notable is the Dutch striker, Jens Raven. This striker is 1.89m tall and is playing for Dordrecht Club (Netherlands). In addition, they also have the presence of a series of experienced players such as Muhammad Ferarri, Kadek Arel, Dony Pamungkas, Arkhan Fikri.

At the 2023 Southeast Asian U23 tournament, U23 Indonesia lost to U23 Vietnam in the final after a penalty shootout. That further fueled the determination of the team from the archipelago to take revenge in this year's tournament.
In this year's tournament, U23 Indonesia will be in Group A with Malaysia, Philippines and Brunei. They will play their opening match against U23 Brunei on July 15. Meanwhile, U23 Vietnam is in Group B with Laos and Cambodia.
