More than 10,500 candidates officially entered the 10th grade entrance exam

BHG - The 10th grade entrance exam for the 2025-2026 school year is the first exam to be conducted according to the 2018 General Education Program with a new exam structure, closely following the instructions of the Ministry of Education and Training , with high practicality and applicability.

In this year's entrance exam, the whole province has 10,510 candidates registered for 40 schools including high schools, junior high and high school boarding schools for ethnic minorities, junior high and high school boarding schools for ethnic minorities in the province. The average enrollment target ratio is about 78.4% compared to the total number of registered candidates. Many schools have high enrollment targets, reaching over 90%. However, at junior high and high school boarding schools for ethnic minorities, the enrollment target ratio is very low, only 20 - 25% compared to the number of candidates taking the exam. Specialized high schools alone have 558 candidates registered for the exam. All candidates will take the exam at 39 exam councils, with a total of 432 exam rooms, arranged at the schools where candidates register for admission.

In preparation for the 10th grade entrance exam, the province has announced the sample exam structure and the third exam subject. This is the first year that the third exam subject is selected according to Circular 30. Ha Giang has chosen History - Geography as the third exam subject instead of Foreign Language like other localities. This is a suitable choice for local practice and the goal of ensuring educational quality. Review work for final year students has been proactively and innovatively done by schools. The organization of the exam has been carefully prepared at each stage, linked to the responsibility of each organization and individual participating in the implementation of the task; localities and schools have increased the dissemination of exam regulations, ensuring a fair exam for all candidates.

According to the plan, today, candidates will take the first two exams. In the morning, they will take the Literature exam (120 minutes) in the essay format and in the afternoon, they will take the Math exam (120 minutes). According to the reporter, early this morning, there was rain in the province, at many examination councils there was heavy rain, making it difficult for candidates to move. To ensure time to enter the examination room and avoid the effects of the weather, parents proactively brought their children to the examination site early; the police force and the youth union actively supported the students to enter the examination room safely.
