Hojlund rules on the future

Journalist Fabrizio Romano said Hojlund wants to stay with MU and compete for a place in the team until the contract expires in June 2028. If the "Red Devils" want to sell the Danish striker early, the team will have to negotiate and pay a lot of money to compensate for the contract before the end of the term.

Hojlund has scored 26 goals in 95 appearances for United over the past two seasons. In the 2024/25 season alone, he has only scored 10 goals in 52 games.

Hojlund was a prolific performer in Serie A with Atalanta, but without a good support system at Old Trafford, he quickly lost his way and performed unconvincingly.

Inter Milan were one of the clubs interested in Hojlund this summer. However, the Serie A club have just signed French striker Ange-Yoan Bonny from Parma for €23 million, making Inter's bid for Hojlund less likely.

According to Athletic , if Hojlund is sold to Inter, coach Ruben Amorim is targeting Aston Villa's Ollie Watkins as a replacement. Watkins is considered a talented striker and can help MU return to the European arena in the 2026/27 season.

MU is scheduled to play its first friendly match this summer on July 19, against Leeds in Stockholm, Sweden. After that, the team will have a tour in the US.
