Nghe An Association in Hai Phong supports flood victims in Nghe An

On August 8 and 9, the Liaison Committee of the Nghe An Association in Hai Phong coordinated with businesses and philanthropists in Quang Tri province to organize a charity program "Supporting people in flood-hit areas - Joining hands with children to go to school" in Western Nghe An.

Turning to the flood victims in the homeland with the spirit of “helping each other”, after two weeks of launching, the Association has donated nearly 400 million VND and more than 2 tons of essential goods worth about 100 million VND, including blankets, clothes, fish sauce, cooking oil, toothpaste, notebooks, pens... from members, businesses and benefactors.

The delegation presented 324 million VND and 390 support packages to people in Cau Tam village (Muong Xen commune), Xang Tren, Xop Duong, Cha Nga (My Ly commune); 20 million VND and 400 sets of clothes to students of My Ly 2 Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities; 20 million VND and 20 warm blankets to Muong Tip Kindergarten.

Volunteer activities show the affection and heart of Nghe An children living far from home, contributing to sharing difficulties, helping people stabilize their lives soon and supporting students to prepare for the new school year.

The Nghe An Association in Hai Phong currently has more than 1,000 members who are children of Nghe An and Ha Tinh . Over the years, the Association has regularly organized volunteer activities, encouraged education, built charity houses, and supported people in areas affected by natural disasters and floods, receiving enthusiastic responses from members.
