The Academy of Politics brings the implementation of democracy into depth and substance.

On July 11, the Steering Committee for the Implementation of the Grassroots Democracy Regulations of the Party Committee of the Academy of Politics held a conference to review the first 6 months of 2025 and deploy tasks for the last 6 months of 2025. Major General Nguyen Van Thap, member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, Deputy Political Commissar of the Academy, Head of the Steering Committee for the Implementation of the Grassroots Democracy Regulations of the Party Committee of the Academy chaired the conference. Attending the conference were representatives of agencies and units under the Academy.

The conference comprehensively assessed the achieved results, pointed out limitations, proposed synchronous and drastic solutions, affirmed high political determination in bringing the implementation of democracy into depth and substance, considering this a key driving force to excellently complete all assigned tasks.

One of the outstanding results emphasized is the serious and substantive maintenance of democratic institutions; 100% of Party committees and Party cells have maintained the routine of regular democratic dialogue, combining with ad hoc dialogue to promptly resolve arising issues. In particular, the success of the Party Congresses at all levels for the 2025-2030 term in the entire Party Committee of the Academy is a vivid demonstration of promoting democracy and upholding the principle of democratic centralism. The process of preparing personnel and discussing documents took place in a democratic and open atmosphere, maximizing collective intelligence, creating high consensus and unanimity, contributing to building new Party committees with sufficient qualities and capacity to lead the unit to successfully carry out its tasks.

Concluding the conference, Major General Nguyen Van Thap requested agencies and units to substantially innovate and improve the combativeness in democratic activities, especially dialogue sessions; promote the exemplary responsibility and management capacity of cadres at all levels; link the results of implementing democracy and maintaining unit discipline with the evaluation and appointment of cadres; require commanders to be truly close to and grasp the ideological situation and circumstances of each soldier; strengthen the inspection and supervision work of Party committees and inspection committees at all levels; conduct focused and key inspections, combine regular and surprise inspections, and strictly handle all violations.
