The 2025 high school graduation exam will take place on June 26-27. This year's exam will have 1.16 million candidates nationwide, including more than 1.13 million candidates taking the 2018 General Education Program and more than 26,700 candidates taking the 2006 General Education Program. The country has 2,493 exam sites with 50,039 exam rooms, and it is expected that about 200,000 officials, teachers, police, military, medical staff, etc. will be mobilized to participate in the exam organization. Preparations for the exam have been proactively deployed by the Ministry of Education and Training and localities early on.
In the 2025 high school graduation exam, candidates will take the exam according to the 2018 GeneralEducation Program, which includes 4 subjects, including 2 compulsory subjects: Literature, Mathematics and 2 elective subjects; candidates will take the exam according to the 2006 General Education Program, which includes 4 exams: 3 compulsory exams: Literature, Mathematics, English and 1 exam in Natural Sciences including: Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Social Sciences including: History, Geography, Civic Education.
In Phu Yen , the 2025 High School Graduation Exam has 10,913 candidates registered to take the exam, an increase of 240 candidates compared to 2024. Of which, the number of candidates taking the exam according to the 2018 General Education Program is 10,635 candidates and 278 independent candidates taking the exam according to the 2006 General Education Program. The whole province has arranged 28 exam sites with 474 official exam rooms (an increase of 16 exam rooms compared to 2024) and 106 backup exam rooms located at secondary and high schools in districts, towns and cities.
Speaking at the conference, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh requested the Ministry of Education and Training to continue to coordinate with ministries, branches and localities to prepare well for the exam in all aspects. In particular, ensuring absolute safety in all stages of the exam, preventing negativity and cheating, especially high-tech cheating. The Prime Minister requested units and localities to ensure the most favorable conditions for candidates, not allowing any candidates to drop out of the exam for subjective reasons; encouraging localities to provide maximum support for candidates in traveling and accommodation, especially candidates in remote areas, candidates with difficult circumstances; at the same time, having proactive plans to promptly handle problems arising during the exam organization process, ensuring the exam takes place safely, smoothly, seriously and effectively.
